#simplestamping Hand Penned Color & Contour

Hello Happy Stampers,  I am so glad you have decided to join me today for my #simplestamping and step up cards.

As you know #simplestamping just means that a simply beautiful card is made simply.

I know that simple cards are, well, simple and you can probably figure out how to make them quite easily without any video tutorial.  So, I add a stepped up version each time to make your time spent here and on my YouTube channel worth your while and hopefully give you something new to try or to inspire you in your crafting.

Here are both versions. The left one is the simple card the right the one that is "stepped up".  I hope you agree, both are lovely.  Very similar but the stepped up version has some extras added and of course you can see what those are by watching the video.

Take advantage of the extra host rewards by getting your friends together for a workshop or online catalog order more info below.

Inspiring Canopy

The latest and best Stampin' Up! annual catalog for 2021-2022 is live and you can now order all of the products I feature in my FREE YouTube video tutorials.
This week for the "casing the catalog" video I am featuring the Inspired Canopy Dies found on page 160.  They coordinate with the Inspired Thoughts stamp set found on page 52.
This is the card I am "casing" today.  Mine is quite a bit different but as I have said before sometimes I case exactly, some almost exactly and sometimes only partially the same.  Today it is the partially the same.  For the sample in the catalog Mint Macaron was the background behind the art piece.  When I picked out the papers to use for this card that color just did not work so it had to go.  I also left out the ribbon.  I'm not a huge ribbon fan and I didn't have this ribbon so I just left it off.  I do think you will like what I came up with for my design and if you watch the video you will see how I laid it all out.
What do you think?  I really like it and I hope you do too.  Like I said watch the FREE YouTube video to get the measurements, tips and tricks used to put this lovely card together.
I wanted to show you a close up of the wonderful texture produced with the dies for the tree and by adding two colors there is even more depth and contrast to really make them look real.

#simplestamping Hand Penned Trio

Once again I am looking at the Hand Penned Petals bundle from Stampin' Up! annual catalog page 105 and making a simple card as well as two step up cards.  To see all the details of how each one was made I invite you to watch my video on YouTube.

And, because simple cards are so simple I like to "step the up" and show you how you can add to a simple design to make it even more special.
Each version has a little bit more added.  The far left is the "simplest" of the three.
Next, I added a different background and stepped up the tag.

Finally, I added an embossed layer to the art piece and changed up the tag some more.

For only $99.00 you can join Stampin' Up! and in the month of May you can receive $155.00 worth of products PLUS FREE SHIPPING!
As well as free business supplies.  As a demonstrator you get 20% off all of your orders at the Bronze level and then move up to 25% off as you advance as well as other perks like being able to pre-order from new catalogs.  If you want to know more contact me kcreasey54@gmail.com and I will gladly fill you in on how to take advantage of this offer beginning May 4th through the end of May. Essential Tag Punch

We are well into the month of May and the new 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  Today I feature current products.  Some new to this year some returning.

The Essential Tag punch found on page 149 is a returning item as is the Many Messages Bundle found on page 42.  There is a new set of sentiments for the Many Messages die though so be sure to check that out.

I have to confess something here.  This card can be easily made using the Essential Tag punch but I have not purchased it yet so I made my own tags.  To see how it was done check out my FREE video tutorial on my YouTube channel.

The lovely designer series papers you see here are from the Hand Penned DSP collection found on page 131.  The ribbon is the In Color Open Weave 3/8" ribbon found on page 139.

Because I am preparing these posts in April I am not allowed to post product images yet but beginning in June I will be doing that again.  For now let me just share with you some of the colors that are in this beautiful designer series paper.
You can see from the list that the coordination with other colors is limitless.  Create yourself a challenge and try making a card using all of these colors of a combination of them.  Share what you make with me I would love to see what you make.
May Host Code:  YA23HJEP
I sincerely appreciate those who order through me.  It helps me by allowing me to acquire more product so I can share more projects with you and helps with the gifts I share with those who order from me.  Everyone who places their orders with me gets a free gift.  It is small but my way of showing my apprciation.

Color & Contours

It is "Casing the Catalog day here at Kate's Paper Creations.  The new Stampin' Up! 2021-22 annual catalog is now live and all the wonderful items are available to purchase.  Today's project uses the Color & Contours Bundle found on page 98.

The card to the far left in this picture is the one I made today.  It is so fun and so easy to do.  The only item I did not have to make this card was the ribbon which is the Polished Pink 3/8" open weave ribbon see on page 139 of the catalog.
This card was so fun and easy to make and I do  have a couple of hints for you to see in the FREE video tutorial on my YouTube channel.  I do hope that if you like what you see there that you will subscribe to my channel too.

The colors are truly luscious and you can find out how each flower was stamped in the video.  You will also see how I utilized the dimensionals to attach the flowers and the sentiment tag.

I am very impressed with the selection of Designer Series Papers in the new catalog.  They are all so coordinated with many different colors so it isn't hard at all to get inspired.  I hope the colors in this project inspire you to try some colors you don't usually gravitate to.
Make something and share it with me, I'll feature it in a future blog.
The host code for May is: YA23HJEP Please if your order is less than $150.00 use the current host code.  If this code isn't current check out the column to the right of this post for the current one.
