April 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

 April 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives
I like change, I like the new annual Stampin' Up! catalog debut for 2022-2023.  I like that some products are going away to make room for new products and new adventures.

I will say, however, that the actual card bases in this kit did not appeal to me so I am happy to be able to offer my "changes" to the kit using the elements in the kit as much as possible.  Sometimes I do use "non-kit" items and in my video on YouTube explain all the details for each of the cards you see here.

I mention in my video a few of the essential "extras" to have on hand if you are only doing Paper Pumpkin and are not trying to collect an entire craft room of supplies.  Maybe you just have limited space and you like Paper Pumpkin because it can be assembled using only the box contents.  Well, here is my list of those extras I recommend that don't take a lot of space.
1.  Paper Trimmer - you need this to be able to make changes to the kits cutting envelopes apart or card bases
2.  Paper Snips - Scissors - You need these to cut things out of base pieces or to cut out stamped images to attach with dimensionals
3. Basic White Thick card stock - you need this to create new blank card bases when making alternative designs.
4. Blending Pens - blank pens that you can color with when used with the ink spots you get in your kits.
5. Storage Cases - I use the standard stamp cases to store the stamp set and left over pieces.  Stampin' Up! provides a case insert so you can mark it and then it sits nicely on a book shelf.  You will be using past kit stamps and other items to make alternatives with future kits as I did in today's video.
6. Stampin' Spots Storage - In the video I show how I store the ink spots I get with each kit.  This keeps them together and makes them easy to access.

Next month Paper Pumpkin will be introducing the five new In Colors coming in the new annual 2022-23 Stampin' Up! catalog.  Subscribe before May 10th and you may win a Golden Voucher valued at $25.00 that you can use to purchase those "extras" I just spoke about.   Just click on the image below to go to the subscription page.  Please be sure to put my name in as your demonstrator.  Kate Creasey.  Thanks!

Color & Contour

Welcome stampers!  This is April 2022 and the last month to order from both the 2021-22 Annual catalog and the Jan-June Mini catalog.  The new catalog goes live May 3rd and we are all excited to be sharing with you the new products.

But, for now, today's card features both retiring and carried over items.  I am excited to share that the Color & Contour stamp set and the Contour dies are carrying over but unfortunately we have to say goodbye to the New Horizon and In Color Shimmery Vellum papers.  I have attached the retiring items list for you.  It is nice to know what is going to be returning too because then you will know what you need to get now and what can wait till the new catalog goes live.

As always I have a video tutorial on my YouTube channel where you can get colors, measurements and other info so be sure to check it out.  While you are there be sure to subscribe.

You can shop my online store by simple clicking on any of the product images below and if your order is less than $150.00 please use the host code.  Anyone who orders $50.00 to $149.00 will receive a gift from me in the mail as my way of saying thank you for our support.
