Remember When - Using Stampin' Up! Products from Past Catalogs

Hello, welcome to my Remember When blog and video where I use previous Stampin' Up! products that have been discontinued or carried over from previous catalogs.  As it says Remember When you first fell in love with a stamp set or die or some other product and you just had to have it but then the new catalog comes along and you forget about them?  Well, I'm here to remind you about those cases on the shelf and encourage you to pull them down and pair them with current product for a whole new and fresh look.

Today I am bringing back the Bloomin Hearts Thinlits and the Square Lattice embossing folder.

I am part of a card exchange group where we send cards to each other once a month and this is how I got reminded of this die and folder.  Thank you Bunny for sending me your card.  I cased Bunny's card and here it is.

It is simply elegant and lovely!  All of the details of how it was made can be found on my YouTube channel.  I hope you will visit there and subscribe too so you won't miss out on any of my future videos.  I make at least three each week.

Sweet Ice Cream

For today's post I am sharing a fun card CASE'd from the new Stampin' Up! spring Mini Catalog.  CASE'ing mean (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit)  The catalog offers inspiration by showing projects that have been made using current products.  By casing the catalog you can copy the image exactly or just use the theme, colors, combinations, layouts and products to create your own unique project.

The stamp set I used is called Sweet Ice Cream.  I won this set during Prize Patrol at On Stage On Line so even though it wasn't a set I would have picked as one of my first choices I have to say I am having fun with it now.

It comes as part of a suite with a punch, papers and embellishments.  It makes a great birthday card that is whimsical and fun and suitable for all ages.
Isn't this just too cute?!  I can see myself sending this to my grandsons or my best friend as it is so bright and cheery.

I'm so glad you stopped by and I hope you like my project.  Check out the video on my YouTube channel.

Sweet Ice Cream stamp set is item #154456 $17.00

Dandelion Wishes

Hello everyone, Stampin' Up! has a "thing" going where they encourage demonstrators to design simple cards and post them with the #simplestamping tag.  I have been trying to do more of the "simple" cards and now dedicate one of my videos and blogs to that each week.  I call it Simply Beautiful, Beautiful Cards Simple Made.

I find that the more "stuff" I have in my crafting space the more tempted I am to keep adding to my cards.  I do love adding embossing, dies and layering as it adds so much interest to a card.  However, I do realize that not everyone has a "stamping room" full of goodies to work with.

So in my effort to share what I love and to provide you with inspiration today's card is just stamps, paper and ink.

I hope you enjoy this Simply Beautiful project and that you have been encouraged that simple cards can be simply beautiful.  I hope you will try #simplestamping too! And be sure to check out the video on my YouTube channel and subscribe while you are there.

One item not pictured here is the new blending brushes available in the current Mini catalog.

Little Love Boxes - January 2021 Paper Pumpkin Add On

I haven't gotten my Paper Pumpkin kit yet for January 2021 but I did order the add on kit called "Little Love Boxes".

It comes with 20 boxes approximate size 1/2" deep by 2" wide and 2 7/8" long as well as 24 tags in Blushing Bride and 24 punch out die cuts.  The picture doesn't do this kit justice.  The boxes are really cute.  I'll be using them to make treats to share with my ladies at bible study.

I also used some other products from the January to June mini catalog.  True Love designer series paper and Love You Always foils.  The foils come in three colors Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose and Sahara Sand.

I also used my Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter and Brother Laser printer.  I know these are not typically available to everyone and I apologize for that but I needed to make a tag for the box that was a specific size and I wanted it to have some shiny foil on them.
You will also see the die from Lot's Of Heart bundle that I used to cut the hearts from the Rococo Rose foil.

Here is how I decorated my boxes.

Simple yet elegant I created a belly band to go around the box which will hold 3 hard cinnamon candies.

The bands are made with the True Love DSP which I colored.  For details on everything check out my YouTube tutorial.

Below is the supply list when you order online be sure to use the current host code for orders of less than $150.00  This kit is available only while supplies last so don't wait too long to order.
