Simply Perfectly Plaid Saturday

It's Simply Saturday!  This is the day I share with you a simple, mostly one layer and stamps card that is quick and easy to make.  Today I used the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree Punch which originally sold as a bundle.  It made it into the main catalog this year just not as a bundle but they can both be found on pages 60 -61 of the annual catalog.
I used Wrapped in Plaid 6x6 designer series papers that I had left over from last year to make this card.  There is a beautiful plaid in the Holiday catalog called Plaid Tidings on page 57.  It is 6x6 also and has both fall and winter color choices.  I didn't buy it because I had a full package of this plaid left over from last year that I need to be using up.  But as you can see the new plaid is really pretty too and could easily be used to create this card.

I like to make the envelope special too so I cut a piece of the plaid to cover the flap, punched the tree shape from it , attached it to the flap and then stamped the plaid tree with Shaded Spruce through the opening.
I also put some of the plaid on the inside of the card just to carry the color scheme through the entire project.  It took me all of 5 minutes or less to make this card so it truly fits the Simply Saturday theme.
